Wow what an amazing first week back.  We are coming together as a community to learn and have fun.  Can't wait for next week.

MATH:  On voicethread discuss and strategize how you would solve the addition question.

SCIENCE: Students have been jigsawed into their home groups within the Electricity Wiki.  As an 'expert' on a specific energy form, come together to compare and contrast the different forms of energy/electricity.  Due Tuesday January 14th.

Go back to your expert group and ensure that you understand and discuss your energy in relation to the guiding questions.  As a expert preview and analyze a variety of video on youtube that will help your home group understand your energy form more effectively.  Include the URL on your expert page under the label Videos (see the first grade 5 expert page as an example)
BOOK RECOMMENDATION:  
1.  Finalize reading your book that you will be writing your recommendation on-TUES JAN 14
2.  Over the next 5 days- review different book recommendation from a variety of sources such as, newspapers, magazines, online sources (read over the review and select one to share with the class)- MONDAY JAN 13

CURRENT EVENTS:
On Monday you will be sharing in a group a piece of text related to any topic of interest you can get the text from a magazine, online sources, newspaper etc.
