Wow, what a great week of learning as a community.  Our first session of Dance Friday was a great success, we were able to celebrate as a class all our successes over the last 7 weeks.

We have completed another great week in class to all the students who came prepared for learning and were engaged throughout the week you are preparing for your learning environment.

Curriculum Night:  Thank you to all our parents and students who made it out last night.  A pamphlet was been handed out last night and distributed today so that each student has one to discuss with parents the dynamic school year we are immersed in.

Poetry:
1.  Create a third poem 
     Brainstorm- a new topic and generate a list of 15-20 descriptive words
     Then create a first draft (shape poem)- on the new topic

2.  Voicethread:  view the video entitled A Year on Planet Earth- at any point in the video comment a list of 5-10 descriptive words (you can comment more than once)

You can find the video on the left hand side of the screen in a folder entitled Grade 5/6 McMurrich

Past Due1.  Finalize your school shape poem first draft
     Then use your first draft to create a good copy
